GLOW runs at both sites during school terms

Every child is important to God and here at GLOW Children’s Ministry, we want every child to experience the love that He has for them and help them on their walk with Jesus. Children spend the first 20 minutes in the morning service and then with the GLOW leaders make their way out to the small hall for the program to begin.

So that the children can get the most out of their time at GLOW the curriculum has been tailored into the following age groups in the hope that it will be relevant, appropriate and engaging for those attending.

Sparks: 4-6 year olds. In this group, we want to Spark their love of God, and encourage them to learn more about Him in a way that is easy for them to understand.

Ignite: 7 to 12 year olds. In this group, we want to Ignite their passion for Christ, and to encourage them to be messengers for Him.

Three pillars of GLOW:

Every curriculum will contain our three pillars, Fun, Discipleship and Worship.

Fun: We want the children to have fun and enjoy their time that they spend at GLOW. Fun may include, games, crafts, playtime and silliness.

Discipleship: We want every child to know God and just how amazing He is. In a fun and interactive way the GLOW leaders want to encourage the children in their walk with God and help them as they learn to listen to what God has to say.

Worship: Worship is such an important part of connecting with God and at GLOW we strongly encourage this. Children get to experience how God can speak to them through music and how they can also talk to God through a song.

Events:

GLOW holds multiple events throughout the year including:

  • Family fun nights, where the family can come together, have a fun night out and spend quality time together.
  • Children’s services held on Palm Sunday and at Christmas. This is where the children get to show the congregation what they have learnt that year.

School Holidays:

GLOW runs through the school term and the leaders have a break during the holidays and on long weekends but this doesn’t mean we haven’t got stuff for the kids sorted! Workbooks, pencils, clip boards and books can be picked up before you enter church to keep the children occupied during the service.
